Camping time...

Before my daughter headed off for college we took one more camping trip. This time to Wears Valley, which is right outside Pigeon Forge in Tn.

Check out the view of Wears Valley from the top of the Parkway. It's gorgeous up there. Not so fun pulling a camper, though...lol

Once we got the campground, it was time to set up and enjoy the view.

The campground is called Honeysuckle Meadows. It's a small campground. It does have a pool, but no showers. The lots are really big, too, as you can see from the picture. It has lots of space and it's very quiet.

Our dog loved it. As you can see, she was in heaven...:)

Had to put the beauty shot in there, of course...:)

The girls enjoyed it, too. We grilled burgers for dinner and just enjoyed the scenery.

We did lots of other stuff as well, including miniature golf and Anakeesta, which I'll post pictures of in the next post. Hope you enjoy!

Take me out to the ballgame....

I love baseball. I always have. Especially in person. There's just something about the atmosphere of a ballpark on a summer day.

Last month we took our grandson, who's a huge baseball and football fan by the way, to Atlanta to see the Braves in action.

We had a lot of fun and spent the afternoon prior to game time walking around the Battery, which is the shops and restaurants lining the street outside the Brave's new stadium.

I think his favorite part of the Battery was the huge fountain they had outside the stadium gates, which was a huge welcome on such a hot day.

And it was definitely hot. They don't call it Hotlanta for nothin'...lol

Even though the Braves lost to Washington Nationals by one point, it was still a good game. We plan to check out another game next year.

Go Braves!!

Happy place

I think the beach is probably one of my happy places. I love to sit and listen to the waves as they roll in.

My only issue is I'm so fair skinned, I just can't stay out in the heat and sunshine for very long at a time.

Which truly sucks, because I really enjoying being in the water. I also enjoy watching all the animals that also call the beach their happy place.

Little birdie caught himself a fish..:)

I hope you've enjoyed my pics of Cocoa Beach. I didn't find any genie bottles this trip, but maybe next time. I would just have to figure out what I would wish for...Hmmm...:)
