Captive review...

Mikayla is just trying to make ends meet when the unthinkable happens. Earth is being invaded by aliens. As she flees to her mom’s house in Florida, she is abducted and taken to a floating city orbiting the earth. Not knowing what to expect, she is surprised to be forced to work in a bar, serving drinks and cleaning. It is work, and she is a slave, but it could be worse. She could be used for more carnal things or claimed by the Captain who is sexy as sin but mean as the devil.

Sidious is a spy for the rebellion, but he can’t tell Mikayla that. It would endanger both of their lives. But he is falling in love with her, and he can’t stand to have her look at him with hatred and treat him like the enemy. He wants her, and he will have her. Willing or not.

Captive is a sci-fi romance with erotic moments and tender exchanges. As the earth is invaded, so is Mikayla’s heart. The story takes some twists and turns, has vivid alien scenery and has likable characters…and some you can hate. The ending has a bit of a cliffhanger, so I’m chomping at the bit to get the next installment loaded into my tablet. The story is well written and hard to put down. A very entertaining escape.
