New year goals...

I have them. I just hope that I can keep them...:)

Do you ever do that? Make goals only to drop them by the middle of January? I'm determined to not do that this year. I'm determined to get back into writing.

2019 has been such a sucky year in a lot of ways, especially in the writing arena. Too much drama. Too many issues with publishers closing down. Writing has lost its magic and become too much work. I now have to find my own cover artist, find an editor, format. I have no idea how to format. None. I suck at it.

So...I haven't written in a while.

The stories are there, I've just lost the desire to write them down. I probably shouldn't say that. I haven't really lost the desire to write them down. I want to write them down, I just hate the thought of the work that comes after that. I want to go back to the days where all I do is write and let someone else handle the actual work part...:)

But this year I'm determined to change that. I want to continue to write and I will. I'll get those stories down and hopefully, get them published.

That's my goal for 2020. To start writing again.

Camping time...

Before my daughter headed off for college we took one more camping trip. This time to Wears Valley, which is right outside Pigeon Forge in Tn.

Check out the view of Wears Valley from the top of the Parkway. It's gorgeous up there. Not so fun pulling a camper, though...lol

Once we got the campground, it was time to set up and enjoy the view.

The campground is called Honeysuckle Meadows. It's a small campground. It does have a pool, but no showers. The lots are really big, too, as you can see from the picture. It has lots of space and it's very quiet.

Our dog loved it. As you can see, she was in heaven...:)

Had to put the beauty shot in there, of course...:)

The girls enjoyed it, too. We grilled burgers for dinner and just enjoyed the scenery.

We did lots of other stuff as well, including miniature golf and Anakeesta, which I'll post pictures of in the next post. Hope you enjoy!

The perfect camping trip

Okay, maybe not from my perspective, but certainly from my husband's..lol. As you all know, my husband loves to fish. Being on the lake in his boat is his happy place.

I can tolerate the boat for a while, but with my fair skin, the sun gets to me after a bit. Which is why you'll usually see me in long sleeves and a hat..:)

And nope. Still will not hold the fish..lol

For this trip, we took the camper to Blue Water resort in Dayton, Tn. It's a really nice campground on the lake and one of the only ones I've found so far that will let you keep your boat on the campsite with you. They cater to fisherman and I really like that. It makes it so much easier when you have a big 5th wheel and a boat.

The view from our campsite was pretty nice too. Even our dog, Nay-Nay liked it..:)

I especially liked the swing. I sat in that thing every morning and enjoyed a cup of tea watching the boats go by.

And of course, there were also the sunsets on the lake.

It was a fabulous few days and I'm actually looking forward to the next trip, even if it is a fishing trip..:)

Things we do...

My husband is a big fisherman and has been trying to get me to go fishing with him for years. This year, I finally gave in and started going some. It's not too bad. Sometimes, I just like to go and take pictures of the water.

As above, so below...:)

Some days I even catch a fish or two.

Still can't bring myself to hold one...lol

At least I'm going with him some and that makes him happy. Or at least he says it does...lol. Maybe one of these days I'll catch a big one...:)

<sigh> The things we do to make our spouses happy.

Happy place

I think the beach is probably one of my happy places. I love to sit and listen to the waves as they roll in.

My only issue is I'm so fair skinned, I just can't stay out in the heat and sunshine for very long at a time.

Which truly sucks, because I really enjoying being in the water. I also enjoy watching all the animals that also call the beach their happy place.

Little birdie caught himself a fish..:)

I hope you've enjoyed my pics of Cocoa Beach. I didn't find any genie bottles this trip, but maybe next time. I would just have to figure out what I would wish for...Hmmm...:)

Blurb:

The assignment was a simple one. Hide Danika. Brock even knew the perfect place. Unfortunately protecting Danika was far from simple.

First, there was her stubborn nature and smart mouth. Second, there was his attraction to her. And third, was the number of people out to get her.

From Turkish hit men to the C.I.A. everyone seems to want to get their hands on Danika.

What started as simple favor for her father turns into a fight to save the world, but Brock only has thoughts of saving Danika. He’ll risk his own life, even the life of his team, to save the woman who’s come to mean to world to him. Even if it means he only gets her back to hold her while the world implodes around them.

Road trip!!

My husband and I have been looking for a new camper for several weeks. I knew what floor plan I wanted. I also knew the length. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it in Tennessee. For some reason, in Tennessee, if you want 40 feet or bigger, you can find it. Anything smaller than that and it's a no go.

Apparently, Texas isn't the only state who has a saying of 'go big or go home'.

So, hubby and I had to travel all the way to Iowa and Cheyenne Camping Center to get the camper we wanted. A fabulous place by the way. I would highly recommend it if you want a camper. They even gave us a bottle of champagne..:) It's a shame we're not drinkers...lol

And they also do the walkaround in a heated warehouse. Which was perfect considering it was 18 degrees up there the day we picked it up.

The camper we were looking for was a 35 foot, super lite 5th wheel with a rear den. This is what a rear den looks like.

The reason I wanted a rear den was for one, it would seat six comfortably, but it also has opposing slides and sofas. We have two grown kids that still like to go with us and are too big for bunks, so the opposing sofas are perfect. They both make a bed, so they each have their own.

The drive home went well. We stopped halfway and camped in a Walmart parking lot. My first time to do that and other than the traffic noise, it wasn't too bad.

After getting it home, our biggest challenge was getting into the pole barn, which is where it will sleep when it's not on the road...:)

Do you know what happens when you put a camper in a pole barn with inches to spare and then hit the leveling jacks so it's level while it sits?

Massive panic!!

As the auto jacks leveled, they lifted the camper, forcing the vent cover between two rafters. It missed hitting those rafters by a half inch. We know because my brother climbed onto of the camper and crawled through the rafters to make sure there hadn't been any damage...lol

Talk about a close call! From now on, it will just sit in there unlevel. It'll be fine.

Phew! Can't wait for our first camping trip!!

Fun in the Smokies

If you've ever been to Tn, you've probably been to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, which just so happens to be right in my back yard.

There's lots of stuff to do from hiking trails, to skiing, to the fabulous mountain town of Gatlinburg and of course, who can forget Dollywood...:)

Monday, my son and I decided to do a winter hike. We'd been cooped up in the house and wanted to get out for a bit. It was a gorgeous day with a stunning blue sky.

The trail was fairly easy...okay, I lied. It was hard..lol. 2,7 miles and every bit of it uphill!!! Ugh!! But that's okay. We needed to exercise...:) Although I could've done without the mud.

And the fallen trees we had to climb over.

But other than that, we had a really good time. Check out the beautiful falls we saw along the way.

Yep, that's ice on that last one. It was cool at the bottom, but it was downright cold at the top..lol

If you're ever in my neck of the woods, check out the Smokey Mountains and the Rainbow Falls hike. You'll be glad you did..:)

Unless of course all the mud sucks you under...lol

New release....sort of.

It's taken me over a year to get all my EC and Loose Id books re-released. Now i'm working on my Liquid Silver books. The first to be re-released is a book titled, It's Only Physical.

Here's the new cover. Isn't it hot?? :)

It's Only Physical will release at the end of January.

One month after that, A Shot in the Dark will release at the end of February.

A Shot in the Dark is the next book in the Mercenary series. It's also a crossover and will included a very sexy character from the Crime and Punishment series, Master Delacroix...:)

I still have ten more books from Liquid Silver to release, but I'll scatter them in with new releases that I plan on putting out this year, which will include Mike and Carol's story from the Mercenary series, a new menage from the Entwined Fates series, and an interesting mixture of horror and erotic that I've been working on called Dark Desires.

I'm hoping to make 2019 a much more productive year. Keep your fingers crossed I can keep up..:)

I passed!!

I passed my real estate test! Yay! Now I can relax for a bit and get back into writing while I wait for my license to get approved by the real estate commission.

I have so many ideas! Once I stopped writing for a bit to study, all kinds or scenarios played through my head. Which is great!! I'm going to finish up the cross-over and then I have a really cool idea for Aspen's story from the Entwined Fates series and then of course I need to do Mike and Carol's story as well.

Lots of writing to do!! Guess I better get at it..:)

Life and writing...

I'm a little behind in my writing schedule. As usual, life got in the way.

My youngest is now 16 and driving. The kids no longer need me, really, so my days are free for the first time in a very long time. Most of my writing is done at night, so...I tried to think of something I could do during the day that would keep me busy.

You see...I've been very bored lately and eating way too much. Needless to say, I've put on weight and I refuse to buy a size bigger in clothes. So, I decided I needed to find something to do. I thought about a part time job, but that ended up not being a good idea. The part time job I inquired about demanded I work all weekends. No...don't think so.

So then I thought about volunteering. That wasn't really what I wanted to do, either.

My cousin started doing Real Estate last year and it got me to thinking. Hmmm...A Real Estate agent. Lord knows, I love looking at houses...:)

So I signed up for the real estate course. It's three weeks and I have one more day left. Then I have to take the state test. Once that's done, I just sit back and wait for my license to come in.

The state test has me worried, though. I mean, lets be honest. It's been a long time since I've been in school and there is a lot of information. I mean a lot! Way more than I ever imagined, so everyone say a quick prayer this goes well..lol.

If I pass I'll be able to start selling houses! yay! My days will be productive and I'll still have my evenings and weekends for writing. And maybe, I'll even lose some weight..:)

Wish me luck...:)

Sweetest news

I'm working on a new book called Sweetest Sin. It will be a crossover book that will combine both the Mercenary series and the Crime and Punishment series by returning to Atlanta and Nathan Delacroix's BDSM club.

I'm hoping to have it out later this spring. Hoping...lol. We all know how life gets in the way. Seems like life gets in my way more often than not, but I'm determined to keep the fire burning. Which is probably a good thing considering how cold it is here..:)

Stay warm everyone..:)
